Compared to other sphagnum mosses:

• New Zealand Sphagnum (S. cristatum): Longer strands, fluffier texture – great for wrapping roots but more expensive and less compact.

Here’s a rough guide on how much pre-soaked moss you’ll need for each moss pole size:
